International Day of Charity2024

#KalkalHuman, in partnership with #UNSomalia, has successfully completed a comprehensive training program for caseworkers in Baidoa District, Bay Region, Somalia. The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of caseworkers in monitoring, documenting, and reporting Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) cases, ensuring more effective responses and improved support systems for survivors within the community. This initiative underscores a shared commitment to combating SGBV and advancing human rights protection in the region.

Teams from #KalkalHuman, #SASDO, and #SCO, together with the Lower Shabelle Regional Administration led by the governor, conducted an inspection of the newly arrived IDPs from Qoryoley District following two community clashes.

#Kalkalhuman pleased to be part of the rapid flood assessment teams  in Afgoi District led by the Afgoi District local administration the flood caused by the river which has flooded to villages around the river.

During today’s forum, a crucial discussion took place on children’s rights, bringing together local civil society organizations, government representatives, and the humanitarian sector. The dialogue centered on strengthening accountability for protecting these rights.
