@kalkalhuman participated in the Somalia Humanitarian Forum (CHF 2026), engaging with humanitarian actors and partners to discuss critical humanitarian priorities and emerging challenges affecting communities across Somalia, particularly in South West State.
Key issues discussed included flooding and climate-related risks, drought, displacement, food and livelihood insecurity, protection concerns, and the growing needs of vulnerable and marginalized communities, including women, children, persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and other at-risk groups.
The Forum provided an important opportunity to strengthen coordination, share community-level perspectives, and promote inclusive, needs-based, accountable, and locally led humanitarian action. KAHRDO remains committed to working with government institutions, UN agencies, humanitarian partners, civil society organizations, and communities to strengthen protection, resilience, preparedness, and access to essential services.
KAHRDO will continue contributing to humanitarian coordination and advocacy efforts in South West State, with a focus on ensuring that the voices and priorities of affected communities are reflected in humanitarian planning and response.
