Overview:

Fudumo Mukhtar, a dedicated member of Kalkal Human Rights Development Organization, recently participated in a transformative one-day training program aimed at empowering women and youth in Baidoa, Somalia. This initiative was designed to equip participants with essential leadership and entrepreneurship skills to help them become catalysts for positive change in their communities.The training, which brought together 40 women and youth, focused on building confidence, enhancing leadership abilities, and fostering entrepreneurial mindsets. Through interactive sessions, the participants learned critical skills that are vital for both personal and professional development.

Training Highlights:

Leadership Skills: Participants explored effective leadership techniques, communication strategies, and decision-making processes, which are essential for driving change in their communities.

Entrepreneurship Skills: The program also covered key aspects of entrepreneurship, including idea generation, business planning, and financial literacy, empowering participants to start their own ventures and become self-sufficient.

Empowerment & Confidence: With a focus on building confidence, the program encouraged participants to step out of their comfort zones and pursue opportunities for growth, both personally and professionally.

Networking & Collaboration:The event offered a platform for women and youth to connect with like-minded individuals and learn from each other’s experiences, fostering a supportive environment for collaboration and growth.Impact:The training had a profound impact on the attendees, with many expressing newfound motivation to take on leadership roles within their communities. The skills learned during the program are already being put to use by several participants, who are beginning to explore entrepreneurial ventures and leadership opportunities.

Fudumo Mukhtar who attended the training as both a participant and a facilitator, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in transforming the lives of women and youth in Baidoa.
