Project Name:
Strengthened Policy Advocacy and Dialogue Forums for Human Rights in Baidoa District SWSS.
Project Description:
This project aims to strengthen policy advocacy and dialogue forums in Baidoa District to enhance the protection and promotion of human rights. It will focus on building the capacity of local civil society organizations, human rights defenders, community leaders, and government officials to engage in effective advocacy and participatory dialogue.
By establishing regular multi-stakeholder forums, the project will create safe spaces for open discussions on critical human rights issues affecting the district’s diverse populations, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), women, youth, and marginalized groups. These forums will foster collaboration and mutual accountability between civil society and local authorities.
The project will also develop and disseminate policy briefs based on community-level research and monitoring, enabling evidence-based advocacy for policy reforms. Through targeted awareness campaigns, the initiative will raise public understanding of human rights standards and available mechanisms for protection and redress.
Ultimately, this project seeks to build sustainable local structures that promote dialogue, transparency, and inclusive governance to improve human rights outcomes in Baidoa.
