About KAHRDO:
Kalkal Human Rights Development Organization (KAHRDO) is a women-led, non-governmental, and non-profit civil society organization based in Somalia. Established on July 7, 2013, KAHRDO is dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights, advancing gender equality, and supporting inclusive community development, focusing on women, youth, children, and other marginalized groups.

KAHRDO works to strengthen community resilience and social justice through rights-based programming, advocacy, capacity building, and humanitarian response. Operating primarily in the South West State of Somalia, including Baidoa, Afgoye, Marka, and Elberde districts, we closely collaborate with local communities, government institutions, and development partners.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Field Outreach Coordinator to lead our outreach efforts in communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing outreach programs, engaging with community members, and raising awareness about KAHRDO’s initiatives and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage community members and stakeholders.
• Organize community events, workshops, and activities to promote KAHRDO’s mission and services.
• Collaborate with local partners and organizations to enhance outreach efforts.
• Conduct needs assessments and gather feedback to inform program development.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and report on outcomes to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Human Services, or a related field.
• Previous experience in community outreach, engagement, or advocacy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of local communities and an understanding of their needs and challenges.
