Join Us for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

#ComingSoon2025: The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence begins on 24th November. Somalia stands united in our commitment to end all forms of gender-based violence, raise awareness, and empower our communities to act.

During this critical campaign, we will amplify the voices of every woman, every girl, and every survivor, advocating for safety, justice, and equality across the country. This is not just a call to action; it’s a movement to create lasting change and ensure that no one is left behind.

Key Objectives of the Campaign:

  • Raise Awareness: We will conduct workshops, forums, and outreach activities that educate the community about the various forms of gender-based violence and the importance of recognizing signs and seeking help.
  • Empower Advocacy: We are mobilizing local leaders and activists to advocate for stronger protections and support systems for survivors, including legal aid, counseling services, and safe shelters.
  • Engage Communities: Through community dialogues, we aim to foster conversations around gender equality, challenging harmful stereotypes and cultural norms that perpetuate violence.
  • Support Survivors: Providing resources and support for survivors is critical. We will connect individuals to necessary services and create safe channels for reporting incidents.
  • Collaborate and Mobilize: We invite all organizations, community members, and allies to join us in this unified effort. Together, we can create a powerful coalition advocating for change at every level, from households to government policies.

As we embark on this important journey, let us stand together and commit to a future where safety, justice, and equality are a reality for all. Join us in amplifying our message and making our voices heard!
