Kalkal Human Rights Development Organization is honored to have participated in a two-day workshop organized by GREDO Somalia in Baidoa, which convened 17 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to strengthen collaboration, coordination, and meaningful youth engagement. This important gathering led to the establishment of the Somali CSO Youth Network (SCYN) — a strategic platform dedicated to amplifying youth voices, advancing collective advocacy, and enhancing access to funding opportunities, while promoting locally led initiatives (localization) across Somalia.
We are particularly proud that Mohamed Nor Ibrahim Qoslaaye was elected to lead the network, reflecting the trust and confidence placed in his leadership, as well as the growing influence and contribution of Somali youth in shaping civil society and development agendas.
@Kalkalhuman remains committed to supporting inclusive partnerships and empowering youth-led initiatives that drive sustainable change and strengthen civic space in Somalia.
The workshop was implemented @Gredo in partnership with Save the Children in Somalia and funded by Danida.
