Protecting Vulnerable Children: A Community Initiative Awareness Campaign Against Child Recruitment

In partnership with the United Nations Transitional Assistance Mission in Somalia, Kalkal Human Rights Development Organization conducted a one-day Awareness Campaign in Baidoa’s IDP camps to protect highly vulnerable children from recruitment into armed conflict.

The campaign focused on raising community awareness about the dangers of child recruitment, strengthening child protection efforts, and advocating for the rights and safety of displaced children living in high-risk conditions. Through workshops, informational sessions, and community discussions, we engaged local leaders and families to emphasize the importance of safeguarding our children’s future. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to building safe, peaceful, and child-friendly communities. By fostering collaboration among community members and organizations, we aim to create an environment where children can thrive, free from the threats of violence and exploitation.Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these children and ensure their rights are upheld.#ChildProtection #EndChildRecruitment #ProtectOurChildren #HumanRights #IDPCamps #PeaceForChildren #Baidoa #ConflictPrevention #SafeCommunities #ChildrenFirst #UNSomalia #KalkalHuman
