Today, @Kalkalhuman had the honor of attending the official signing and launch of the Safeguarding of Humanitarian Assistance Law, a historic achievement in ensuring transparency, accountability, and integrity in humanitarian aid delivery across South West State of Somalia.
Signed by H.E. @Laftagareen, President of South West State of Somalia, this law establishes a legal framework to prevent aid diversion, combat corruption, and ensure humanitarian assistance reaches those most in need. It strengthens governance, ethical aid distribution, and protection for vulnerable communities, reinforcing Somalia’s commitment to humanitarian principles.
The event was attended by high-level government officials, UN agencies, humanitarian organizations, and civil society partners, demonstrating a shared dedication to improving aid effectiveness and upholding human dignity.
This milestone paves the way for stronger humanitarian coordination, ethical aid practices, and better protection for those affected by crises.
